Travel from KIX to Kyoto
A limousine bus service and JR Haruka Limited Express trains connect Kansai International Airport (KIX) to Kyoto Station directly and frequently.

From KIX to Kyoto Station: 105 minutes, departing every hour between 5:00 - 21:00. Fee: 2,300 yen.

From KIX to Kyoto Station: 75 minutes, departing every 30 minutes between 5:30 - 20:30.

Presentation
Those who present lectures using power point projector are recommended to bring CD which should be copied on the computer (both Mac and Windows are available) in each room at 8:30 for the morning session or at 13:10 for the afternoon session. Please bring the corresponding OHPs for the backup in case of trouble.

Those who present short oral communications are recommended to use only OHPs.

Those who present posters are recommended to put posters in the morning on July 1 (from P-1 to P-149) or in the morning on July 3 (from P-150 to P-246). The formal poster presentation time is 19:10-21:10 on July 2 (from P-1 to P-149) and 19:00-21:00 on July 4 (from P-150 to P-298). After the formal presentation time, the posters should be removed. The size of poster board is 90 cm (width) x 200 cm (height).
Passport and Visas
The participant of ICPP2 who have visa-requiring nationality but who have not applied Japan entry visa yet, please inquire about visa applications to the Japanese Consulate or Embassy, urgently. (Please inquire if you need Japanese formal invitation letter, or not.) To make visa applications, we need your personal information about following items : Nationality / Date of birth / Affiliation / Itinerary / Flight schedule / Accommodation. Please let us know about these informations by fax (+81-75-753-3970) or e-mail (icpp2@kuchem.kyoto-u.ac.jp), as soon as possible, if you need Japanese formal invitation letter.
Invitation letters
On request, a personal invitation letter will be issued from the Symposium Chairman to participants to help hem in raising travel funds. Such an invitation is not a commitment of the organizer provide any financial support. If you need Japanese formal invitation letter to obtain visa, please let us know about Nationality / Date of birth / Affiliation / Itinerary / Flight schedule / Accommodation by fax (+81-75-753-3970) or e-mail (icpp2@kuchem.kyoto-u.ac.jp), as soon as possible.
Currency
Major foreign currencies can be exchanged into Japanese yen at Kansai International Airport, or at major banks and hotels in the downtown area of Kyoto.
Tips
In Japan, no tip is required for hotels, restaurants, taxis, etc.



Due to 2002 FIFA World Cup Korea/Japan (May 31 - June 30), difficulty of obtaining air-tickets to and from Japan is anticipated. For those who are planning to participate in ICPP-2, it is highly recommended to make early reservations for your flights.
