Meeting Hotel

The official meeting hotel is the Hyatt Regency Tamaya Resort and Spa which is located on the Santa Ana Pueblo in New Mexico USA. All scientific sessions will be held in this resort, which is 21 miles north of Albuquerque International Airport and 40 miles south of Santa Fe New Mexico. It is close to the mountains and within walking distance of the Rio Grande river.

Descriptions of the rooms and resort facilities are given by a narrated slide show: Hyatt Regency Tamaya Resort & Spa Slideshow

Reservations for the desired room type should be made directly at the hotel using the link to the site for discounted ICPP-6 rooms.

Please note that because of the huge discounts involved and various contractual agreements, all accompanying persons must be named on the hotel reservation form and also registered with the meeting in order to take advantage of the ICPP-6 discounted room rates and waived or prepaid hotel service fees (see meeting registration page and hotel cancellation policy). No exceptions will be permitted except in the case of children under the age of two.

No credit card is needed to make the room reservation which will be held until February 15, 2010 and guaranteed after payment of the full registration fees or receipt of a $100 payment for people taking the basic registration packet.

Rooms not guaranteed by a deposit or the full registration packet are subject to cancellation on February 15 or upon reaching the maximum number of allotted rooms if this should occur earlier.

The balance due for the hotel rooms can be made at the meeting, to the ICPP-6 Secretariat or directly to the hotel upon check-in as will be determined later.

Please also note the following:

1) Highly discounted rates have been obtained for our ICPP-6 meeting attendees with the understanding that we be given all dining, activity and meeting space plus 95% of the available rooms, thus ensuring a more relaxing and informal experience before and after the scientific sessions.

2) Because the conference has full use of the resort from July 4-9, a minimum six night room booking is required, with additional nights being honored at the negotiated rate.

3) The meeting will begin Sunday evening, July 4 and end at 6:00 p.m. Friday July 9. Attendees should therefore consider reserving a room from Sunday to Saturday (6 nights) or Sunday to Sunday (7 nights) depending on their travel arrangements.

4) Students and others in need of someone to share accommodations may book "half a room" and will then be assigned a roommate after payment of the deposit.

Descriptions of the hotel can be found in most tour books of the area and below is reproduced one description which might be useful for people considering ICPP-6 as part of their 2010 vacation plans.

This is the spot for a get-away-from-it-all luxury vacation. Set in the hills above the lush Rio Grande Valley on the Santa Ana Pueblo, this pueblo-style resort offers a 16,000-square-foot full-service spa and fitness center, an 18-hole Twin Warriors Championship Golf Course designed by Gary Panks, and views of the Sandia Mountains. Rooms are spacious, with large tile bathrooms. Request one that faces the mountains for one of the state's more spectacular vistas. Other rooms look out across a large courtyard, where the pools and hot tub are. Though the resort is surrounded by acres of quiet countryside, it's only 20 minutes from Albuquerque and 50 minutes from Santa Fe. The concierge offers trips to attractions daily, as well as on-site activities such as hot-air balloon rides, horseback rides, and nature/cultural walks or carriage rides by the river.
