The Journal of Porphyrins and Phthalocyanines (JPP) is now the signature journal of the Society of Porphyrins and Phthalocyanines (SPP). JPP began publishing under the John Wiley & Sons logo in 1997 and was taken over by SPP at the end of 2001. The reputation and impact factor of JPP has increased steadily and substantially over the last seven years, as has the quality of papers that are now being published. At the same time, the cost for an individual subscription to JPP has remained extremely low as compared to the often exorbitant rates being charged for subscriptions to many well-know specialty journals that are published by forprofit commercial publishing companies.
Participants of ICPP-5 should consider obtaining a personal or library subscription to JPP and are also invited to submit a manuscript to the journal on the topic of their New Orleans presentation. These papers will be peer-reviewed (as are all papers) but will be handled on a priority basis if received within two months before or after the New Orleans meeting.
