Grants and Awards

Housing Grant

a. Two attendees who reserve their rooms using the ICPP10 block of reserved rooms will have both the cost of their room and their registration refunded in full and thus be given free participation at the meeting in Munich.

b. Two attendees who reserve their rooms using the ICPP10 block of reserved rooms will be given a free ten volume set of the Handbook of Porphyrin Science.

The four winners of the above items will be selected by a drawing of names from the reservation list of attendees who have booked rooms using the ICPP10 block of rooms, with the first two or first three winners being able to decide which award they want, either the cash rebate or the books. The drawing will be held at the Wednesday banquet and the attendees do not have to be present at the banquet to win.

“New” SPP Grants For Discounted Regular Registration

SPP has managed to obtain funds for substantially discounting the registration fee of participants who are not giving an invited lecture in a specialized symposium, but might be giving a poster or short contributed oral presentation.

This grant will be given automatically to all applicants until the end of the early registration period and the amount of the award will vary from EUR 350 to EUR 480 depending on the category and time of the registration.

Grants awarded during the late registration period will be given on a first-come, first-served basis until funds are exhausted.

ICPP-10 Handbook and JPP “Grant” Programme

Effective immediately, the Society of Porphyrins and Phthalocyanines (SPP) and World Scientific Publishing Company (WSPC) will be offering ICPP-10 participants grant vouchers of $75 to $3500 to assist SPP members in attending the meeting.

There is no limit on the number of vouchers which can be redeemed and used as described in more detail on the link below. Please complete the proof of purchase form which should be mailed to the SPP office in Dijon (spp@spp-jpp.org), mentioning "ICPP-10 Grant Programme" as the subject.

SPP Registration Grants for Students

A limited number of Student Assistance Grants will be awarded to student attendees of the meeting.

The cash amount of the award has yet to be determined but will probably range from 100 to 150 Euro depending on the number of applicants and the total funds received from our sponsors for the purpose of assisting students.

Applications will be accepted between January 1, 2018 and March 1, 2018, with funding of the grants to the selected individuals being provided as a cash distribution at the meeting.

The application process is now closed

SPP/JPP and John Shelnutt Young Investigator Award Winners

The Call for Nominations is now closed for SPP/JPP Young Investigator Awards and John Shelnutt Young Investigator Awards in 2018.

Although not absolutely required, individuals with an independent and permanent academic position will be given the highest consideration, all other factors being equal. At the same time postocs, no matter how talented or productive they be, will be given the lowest priority consideration by virtue of their non-independent position.
